Low Frequency Transducers/ Subwoofers - Angstrom's Subwoofers are different:
Many of the current crop of subwoofer manufacturers use a low input sensitivity and overrate the power output in
their products. The result is the products are often in soft-clipping, which is an industry term to describe distortion.
In fact, many of these low frequency devices are over driven into distortion most of the time. When an amplifier
exceeds its maximum output, the amplified sinewave is cut off or clipped. The resulting sound is harsh and boomy
and can give the listener the impression of loudness and power. With Angstrom LFT's there is no such problem.
Our amplifiers operate at less than 25% of their output capacity and are never worked beyond their SOA (safe
operating area). The listener is guaranteed a product that performs beyond their expectations.
